Bob Anderson has passed away, at the age of 89.
May he rest in peace. He was the Swordmaster for the Lord of the Rings—and the upcoming The Hobbit—The Princess Bride, The Three Musketeers (1993), and First Knight. He was also the Swordsmaster for the first Highlander movie, and twenty-eight episodes of Highlander: The Series. He worked as the stunt double for Darth Vader in Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, and was a fighting guard in the Doctor Who serial The Enemy of the World. I’ve watched Sherlock: A Scandal In Belgravia, by the way—without spoiling anything (although, there may eventually be spoilers in the comments if there are any, so be aware of that) for those that haven’t seen it, I loved it. Especially what Sherlock did about the intruder. Plus, the sheet moment. Irene Adler was surprisingly well done. It was worth the wait. I loved Innocent Blood, and have now put it on the list of possible things to request in Yuletide next time around. I already have a Fright Night prompt.
Beginning at 1:45 PM, Encore will show all three Poltergeist movies. I plan on watching, having never seen the second or third, and only the first chopped to bits on AMC in October.
Oh, and a question regarding Dreamwidth. I imported over the contents of my LJ several months back. If I tried to do so again, would it make duplicates of what’s already there, or would it simply pick up with the last new thing?
ETA: Dreamwidth question answered--thank you!
