1, Brian Aldiss passed away in his sleep, after celebrating his 92nd birthday. May he rest in peace. He wrote “more than 80 books and was editor of 40 anthologies.”

Unfortunately, I have never read anything of his. I have always meant to read Frankenstein Unbound, since I enjoyed the 1990 adaptation. So I’ll have to try to do that sometime soon. He also wrote Dracula Unbound, which I was never certain about reading, having not heard the best reviews--but it’s on my list, too, now.

Were it not for the Buffyverse, I never would have ventured into writing, in both fanfic and RPG's (I think Willow was the first character I wrote for in any RPG).

Commentary Monthly Monday, Episode 301: Galaxy Quest (1999) Commentary

I am still in need of a beta reader for my Yuletide fanfic. If you don’t know anything about the Pushing Daisies fandom, but have the time to look over the story for spelling or punctuation errors, that’s still fine. As mentioned in another post, it’s 7689 words long.

Larry Hagman has passed away at the age of 81, following complications stemming from his long battle with cancer. May he rest in peace. He will be best remembered from his roles of J.R. Ewing in Dallas, and Major Nelson in I Dream of Jeannie. The latter I watched on Nick at Nite growing up.

Yuletide Progress: The story is done with the first beta reader, and I’ve made what alterations I needed to. My next step is to find someone that is both familiar with the fandom, and willing to beta read a story that is now 7689 words. If I can’t, then one beta reading is good enough.

Lucille Bliss has passed away, at the age of 96. May she rest in peace. She was the voice of Smurfette from 1984-1989 in the Smurfs tv series, as well as all of the 80’s specials. She may also be remembered for doing voicework for one of the stepsisters (never knew they had names, but she was Anastasia) in Cinderella. She also had roles in numerous other Disney and Hanna-Barbera titles.

Margaret Nicholas has passed away, at the age of 82. May she rest in peace. She directed the 80’s Transformers, The Glo Friends, Inhumanoids, Moon Dreamers, Potato Head Kids, Fraggle Rock, My Little Pony n’ Friends, The Addams Family (the 1992 cartoon) as well as many, many other shows. For X-Men fans, she was the animation director for Pryde of the X-Men.

Yuletide sign-ups are now open. About Optional Details. You can find a summary of sign-up offers and requests here. Sign-ups will remain open until October 28th. I know exactly what to request, I just need to whittle down what I’m offering. For example—removing The Shadow upon seeing a couple Dear Yuletide letters, since I’ve only seen the film, and not the radio show, serial or comics. I need to find out if Dark Shadows (60’s version—since I know the 90’s version is on Youtube, but it wasn’t nominated), Pushing Daisies, and Real Ghostbusters are available online for viewing, so I can brush up on canon—been a while since I watched those.

If he’s who I’m thinking of, he played a warlock who was henpecked by his mother, and had a crush on Samantha on Bewitched. Where he also played five other characters. He was also in an episode of the Adam West version of Batman as a valet, and was the voice of someone in Batman: The Animated Series.
