Help, Please

Does anyone know how to make the text color here, and the text color on the Friends List different? The color on the Friends List, which is the same as the main part of my journal, just seems too light.

Also, it looks like there is a blue bar going down the left-hand side of the page. How do you fix that?

One more question: What style does [profile] xoprecious623ox have? It looks great--much better than I am using right now for Magazine format.
