Yuletide Nominations Are Open

Nominations are open for Yuletide, until the 20th—you can only nominate six fandoms. So after a lot of going over my list of fandoms that needed to be there, I finally settled on these six:

-Being Human (tv)
-Ghostbusters (movie)
-The Librarian series (movie)
-Merlin (tv)
-The Mummy series (movie)
-National Treasure (movie)

Since I wanted to nominate Castle, Back to the Future, and Dark Shadows but didn’t have enough slots, I’m hoping someone else does. That, and Real Ghostbusters.

This will be my third year in Yuletide. First year, I wrote something in the Hercules: the Legendary Journeys fandom. Second year, I had to back out. Last year, I wrote in The Addams Family fandom, and apparently quite a few loved it, going by all the comments.

ETA: As Merlin is too large to qualify, I went back in and changed my nominations. Instead of Merlin, it is Dark Shadows--the original, not the 90's remake.

Today is Beta Reader Appreciation Day. So I just want to give a huge thanks to all those people who have helped me out with beta reading over the years. Thank you for helping to catch both the small and the glaring errors. Going back through every story, I’ve found everyone I need to thank, even if they only checked out one story. They include: seandc, persiflage_1, evilawyer_fic, amand_r, ausmac, nightrider101, senmut, koshkaphoenix, sasha_anu, noneofyours, and nos4a2no9. You’ve all been amazing.

And last, but certainly not least: Captain Lou Albano has passed away today, at the age of 76. May he rest in peace. Most knew him as a wrestler, or Cyndi Lauper’s father in a music video. For me, I knew him best as Mario during the live action segments of The Super Mario Brothers Super Show. Only episode I really remember clearly is the Ghostbusters crossover, when Luigi was possessed. You can watch the live action bits of that episode here--and see Ernie Hudson pop in for a visit, too.
