Writer's Block: A show for all seasons

[Error: unknown template qotd]

It looks like I'm not watching anything this season--I catch the occasional episode of White Collar every few weeks, but that's really it. The shows I do like tend to be shows from the UK, and I think they're all between seasons right now. Merlin, Doctor Who, Sherlock. Being Human's off my list, since I jumped ship a few episodes into season 2.

Nikita looked interesting based on the commercial I saw for it--but I caught one or two episodes La Femme Nikita at one point, and never cared for it. Or maybe I just didn't like Peta Wilson, I'm not sure. So I'm skipping the Maggie Q version.

I heard about No Ordinary Family, but I don't know if that's worth downloading yet.

ETA: Forgot to add Amazing Race. I'll probably watch that. I'm likely going to skip Dancing With The Stars this season.

Fannish Items of Interest

Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk—despite not actually being present at Dragon Con—managed to interrupt a Firefly panel in a very funny way. You can watch it here. I love Jewel Staite’s reaction to the situation as things get weirder. You see it in part 2 at the 4:30 mark.

Also from Dragon Con, some people cosplayed as Marvel Minimates. And then they spontaneously started dancing. The Red Skull and Captain America can be seen dancing side by side.

From Cracked: 6 Villains The Movie Forgot To Stop. The list includes the Libyans from Back to the Future, and the aliens in Independence Day.

The Green Goblin design for the Spider-Man musical is just surreal. It almost looks like he’s wearing a skirt over his armor. He also resembles The Grinch. You can see more designs for the musical here. The design for Swiss Miss is equally odd.

Bruce Campbell believes Bruce vs. Frankenstein will be The Expendables of horror.

John Fay discusses the writing process for the new season of Torchwood. He also discusses things that happened during Children of Earth, if anyone's trying to avoid that.
