Sharon, Lois And Bram's The Elephant Show...

Does anyone else remember this show? It was on Nickelodeon back in the 80's, I believe. I still remember the song they sang at the end of every episode. Some of the lyrics I can't spell, so I guessed. First two lines, mostly.

"Skina marinkee dinky dinky
Skina markinee doo.
I love you--I love you in the mornings, and in the afternoon...
I love you in the evenings, and underneath the moon!
Skina marinkee dinky dinky
Skina markinee doo.
I....love...you!

Only reason I thought of this was because I heard that Nick Studios is closing. I was remembering back when the shows were actually good.

Anyone else remember Eureeka's Castle?

How about the kiddy soaps they had on in the afternoon, like Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts? ^_^ I kinda wish they were still around!

"I meant to do that."

Yeah, I vaguely remember Eureka's Castle, though I didn't watch it much.

OMG, that is so old school. I used to love both those shows when I was just a wee little girl ;)

I have children...I've memorized every one of their shows.

They don't make anything good anymore.

Now if you want to feel realy nostalgic, do you remember Today's Special or Spinwheel?

They used to to concerts, too, and I definitely saw one.

Yeah, I watched Today's Special some. Mostly, I think, because it was on immediately before or after...some other show I liked.

"Pinwheel"...there was a show I may've only seen a few times, maybe I even only ever caught the "ending credits" part, all I really remember of it is vague imagery of the ending credits and someone repeating some word similar to "pinwheel". Maybe that was the title of it, then! :-)

My daughter and I were talking about Eureka's Castle a couple of months ago. She really enjoyed it when she was little and I was amazed at how much she remembered about it. It actually jogged my memory a bit) Remember Quagmire and Bog?

I'm not sure how much she remembers from Sharon, Lois, and Bram, though. Does this ring a bell?

One elephant went up to play
Upon a spider's web one day.
He had such enormous fun that
he called for the other elephants to come.

(At least I think that's how it went.)

I remember that show. My kids liked it.

And I toured Nickelodeon studios, several times, up in Orlando. Was great fun for us and the kids. :)

Today's Special? That was about making Sean late for school!
It used to be on at 8am, and I had to leave the house 8.15-8.20 at the very latest...

I remember* it being in some kind of a store, and the behind-the-scenes people. And possibly puppets and a computer or screen character. And someone who didn't know the difference between the spelling of sweet and sweat...

But at least I learned how to spell "Special" :D

* well, as far as *my* memory goes ;)... it was something approaching 18 years ago...
