Name five TV shows you'd like to see on DVD that aren't already.

This was tougher than I thought it would be. Everything that immediately came to mind is out on DVD. And I couldn't think of a 5th one for a long time. I thought of Thundercats, but I think that is on DVD.

1. Batman Beyond. (I really want to see this series.)
2. Justice League Unlimited
3. Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett version.)
4. Real Ghostbusters
5. The Secret World Of Alex Mack
6. The Tomorrow People

And, even if it isn't a series, I would love to see Mr. Boogedy and Bride of Boogedy on DVD someday. It probably won't happen, though.

ETA: I thought of another one! The Tomorrow People--the version that was on Nickelodeon in the early 90's. So, there's now 6 on my list.

Jeremy Brett's The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is on DVD, actually. But it's super expensive, because it's British. Which sucks, because it's SO GOOD.

The Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes is out on DVD. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000060MVK/qid=1118431755/sr=8-2/ref=pd_csp_2/103-4288131-8900656?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846) (I know, because I have it!) They also have indivdual DVDs with two or three eps each.

Some episodes of Batman Beyond are out- the pilot and maybe six or so of the episodes, but there doesn't seem to be any intention of releasing the whole series. Alas. (Although if you have a Bittorrent client... (http://isohunt.com/torrents.php?ihq=%22batman+beyond%22&ext=&op=and) *cough* not that I would ever endorse illegal filesharing, or anything. *innocent*)

Thanks for the link to the Bittorents. I've seen Return of the Joker, so I think I'll probably like the series.

I am fairly certain that this will happen at some point but keep in mind they're releasing the original series right now and are only up to season three. So... I think we have a bit but I have faith it will come.

"Out of the Past", which is... in the third season, I believe.

The two shows aren't really linked, if that's what you're worried about. I've never seen BB and I have no desire to... it scares me :D

If you've only seen Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, then I can understand that reaction. A seriously creepy movie, but I loved it.

Oh yeah, I read the basics of RotJ and it gave me the willies *g* I decided it's an AU, and that made me feel better.

I think it probably is. Although, younger Bruce has met Terry. At least, according to a recent episode of Justice League Unlimited. Even if that was wiped out after all the time travelling, anyway.

Actually Alex Mack is either out on dvd already or about to be released . I've seen ads for it. And the 90's version is out on dvd according to amazon.com

I had heard that it was the 70's version that was released. I'll have to go check Amazon to see which it is.

And after a quick search, it's the 70's version that was just released on DVD. There is a mention that the 90's version will be, too. I'm just not sure when.

Good move. Since if the past is changed, they never needed to go to the future, so everything that happened to them never really happened. (And Terry is still alive.)

That's ok. I had heard in a lot of Nickelodeon groups that it had been released, too. Until someone eventually realized it was the wrong series.

I think those two just get mixed up a lot.

Does it help to tell you that the "Adventures of..." boxed set is TWO seasons?

The "Memoirs..." and "Casebook..." sets are much more reasonably priced, and more likely to be the episodes you're looking for. I find a surprising number of the print fans only remember the seasons with Hardewick playing Watson, not the first two seasons...

I definitely saw it, too. It was a great show. Even it did seem to be off the air a lot.
