Meanwhile, the thunderstorms are still here. This time last year, a tornado chased us home from church. This year, it only rained. No tornadoes, thankfully.
Dad went outside to dig a trench--to divert some of the water, since it was starting to get a little high. (3 days of rain will do that.) He dug a trench, while it was still pouring rain. The neighbor's dog looked at him like he was crazy. Not a good sign. He was soaking wet when he finished.
