Doll Meme

Taken from [personal profile] sharelle.

1. Go to the Elouai doll maker.
2. Make an ordinary doll of yourself and save it.
3. Take that doll and, leaving a couple things (nose, eyebrows, whatever) the same, Mary Sue yourself. Make the most blatant Mary Sue you can conceive.
4. Post "Before" and "After" in your LJ. Bonus points if your Sue has a back-story of some sort.

(This went a bit wild as I wrote it.)

This is a doll of me. Or as close to me as I can get. My hair is a little bit of a darker shade of brown, I don’t wear earrings, and my hair is slightly longer than this.

The Mary Sue:

One day there’s a toxic waste spill—she manages to get out of the barrel—barely.

title or description

Obviously, the toxic waste made her hair grow, but didn’t hurt her shoes. Strong plastic on those shoes.

The Mary Sue then finds a nearly identical pair of clothes to replace the ones that were dissolved—only to discover her eyes now glow bright blue. Strange side effect, but life goes on.

title or description

Our Mary Sue (help me think of a better name!) then goes off for a job interview.

title or description

While there, she suddenly discovers that she is descended from a goddess. (The interviewer was really a plant from the Watcher's Counsel, but she doesn't know that yet.) Why else would her eyes glow like that? And why else would she suddenly be able to control fire? (Sean, this goddess idea came from you.)

title or description

For a couple of days (Until people find something better to do.) she is worshipped. And for some strange reason she dyed her hair red.

title or description

Once this is passes, she decides to blend in by becoming a Watcher. (She knows about vampires, and they don’t know what else to do with her. Shooting fireballs at vampires can be helpful for her Slayer, too. And nearly puts the Slayer out of a job!) She tries on a disguise...

title or description

...And quickly realizes that she can do better than a Joel Schumacher atrocity. (She doesn’t want to look like a combination of Batgirl and Batman from Batman and Robin.)

title or description

Much better. No need for a costume. Yet.

By day, she’s a Watcher. By night? Very, very bored. First, she tries to be the new Batwoman. It doesn’t last long, since Batman is very confused by the costume. He thinks she's a villain at first. He also says the face mask makes her look like Hannibal Lecter.

title or description

Next, she becomes a spy. It’s gone too far when she’s forced to dye her hair blonde—and when she realizes she doesn’t have an agency to spy for. (Yes, I’ve apparently made an idiotic Mary Sue.)

title or description

Then one day the Mary Sue discovers she has telekinesis. And that her goddess powers have escalated. She is eventually contacted by an entity known as The Phoenix. And she gets a costume. She is not happy with the length of the skirt, but you can’t argue with the whims of a mystical force. (This is [personal profile] seandc’s creation. I wanted to use it.)

title or description

Eventually, after running around the galaxy she gets bored, and goes back to Earth. Where she joins a cult devoted to worshipping her by dancing. (Yes, this is the only way I could get this one to fit.)

title or description

She eventually runs away, gets a few dozen animals as pets, and is never heard from again.

At least, until she ascends and becomes some sort of higher being. Nobody really cares, until she tries to contact the Scoobies. Then, she has nightly conversations with Willow, and fries Kennedy. Everyone is happy with that. And confused by the fact that her hair changes every hour on the hour. This is ignored, except for the occasional odd look. Eventually, she marries one of the Scoobies.

I think I went a little crazy when I was creating dolls.

ETA: Also, I finally got AIM reinstalled. This is the 5th time. The other 4 times it just wouldn't work for some reason.
