A Bit Of Nostalgia

Saturday Mornings in 1988. This includes the trailer for Pippi Longstocking, (Who else here went to go see it?) and a few classic 80’s commericals. And the opening intro for Real Ghostbusters.

And you can find a ton of Ghostbusters related Youtube entries right here, since someone took the time to collect all the ones that were worth watching. Just a warning--there are literally dozens of them, and if you’re a Ghostbusters addict you’ll be at your computer for quite a while.

ETA: And here is the original trailer for Ghostbusters. Does anyone on my Friends List know who the announcer's voice belongs to? It sounds so familiar.

According to this site: http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:ooed8Gxeh6QJ:www.vitalstatistics.info/sub-category2.asp%3Fcid%3D20%26scid%3D1580+ghostbusters+don+lafontaine&hl=en&gl=au&ct=clnk&cd=8 (I can't be bothered looking up the coding), this trailer was among many thousands performed by Don LaFontaine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_LaFontaine

Of course, there are other voice over artists who do trailers who sound a lot like him (rasser frassen sound files), but I've seen his name pop up several times for Ghostbusters (I just don't wanna keep looking, and some are sites I'm politically opposed to :P ). You can hear soundclips of Don and other trailer-guys like Hal Douglas through their Wiki entries - I got home too late to go looking for more.
