Ah, if only LJ would e-mail me my comments--I didn't even know anyone responded until I looked in my journal.

My favorite season of Buffy was probably season 5. That was when it was at its best from what I remember, before it all went downhill. At least for me. They should have ended it with The Gift. The only thing I liked about seasons 6 or 7 was Once More, With Feeling.

My first encounter with fandom was probably Highlander. Shortly after I saw the season 5 finale (my first episode) I went online and discovered fanfiction.

But my first encounter with any fandom forums was probably when I got interested in Star Trek back in 2001 or 2002. Joined TrekBBS, but left when I got sick of reading the same stuff over and over and seeing the flame wars.

I've never had a fandom encounter in person from what I can tell.
