After the storm...
Thanks for the wishes of luck everyone. :)
OK, here's what happened. Half the city lost power. Thankfully, it wasn't the part of town I live in. At one point, the wind was 60 miles per hour. When the thunderstorm started, it came without warning. I was standing near the front door, and I heard a screech of metal. The wind caused the storm door to fly open. It might be partially broken now, since it was all the way against the house.
In a moment that might not be that smart in retrospect, my mom went into the storm and got the door shut. It kept trying to fly open again.
Throughout this whole thing, there was continuous lightning. I've never seen that before. The sky was like midnight, and it was only 8 PM; however, the constant lightning managed to be a good light.
Since we don't have a basement, everyone had to lay in the hallway. The tornadoes kept being reported as coming closer. After 9 PM the tornado watch was cancelled, but the high winds, and thunderstorms stayed. Apparently, a lot of trees fell down as well. One tornado was reported in the area of my grandmother's house. Later today, my mom will check to see if it's still standing. Thankfully, my grandmother is safe, since she's in a nursing home.
Based on reports, only a few people were hurt, but it could have been a whole lot worse. We didn't get any hail at my house, but what little there was in other areas was only pea-sized.
My cat was hysterical, watching me with big eyes. She can't handle bad weather.

I've been through at least 2 tornadoes before. Plus last year, when there was a tornado every night for a week. Thankfully, I'm not nearly as exhausted now as I was then.
