Torchwood

Doctor Who writer Johnny Byrne has passed away. According to his Wikipedia entry, he wrote three stories for the classic series. The Keeper of Traken, Arc of Infinity, and Warriors of the Deep. May he rest in peace.

I just watched a download of the Torchwood finale, and I’ll say one thing, without spoiling anyone--it was gut wrenching. Oh, and stock in tissues has probably gone up now. Spoilers may eventually be in the comments, so for those that haven’t seen it, be alert.

Naoko Mori was fantastic. It was the most touching piece of acting I've seen in a long time.

Oh, yeah. The whole scene between her and Owen over the coms, as well as her little note at the end when everyone was cleaning out her desk, were both spectacular.

And in the various groups I'm in, their deaths have already managed to inspire at least six fanfics. By the time I check my friends list again, there's bound to be more.

Man, I was crying and crying. I've not always been wild about Owen, but I sure loved Tosh. I don't belong to any Torchwood fic comms, but now I'm thinking I may need to join some. I really want to read some Tosh/Owen stories, or fic where she's not really dead, because....::sobs:: she can't be! This is just so wrong :-(
