Ninja Squirrel

Here’s an interview with David Tennant—he discusses Doctor Who, Hamlet, and Comic-Con. Poor thing can’t find San Diego.

How to meet and woo a nerdy girl. David Tennant gets a mention in there. And the [profile] whedonesque post about it is over here.

There’s a behind the scenes Torchwood: Children of Earth preview here, for those that haven’t seen it. And another trailer is over here—looks wonderfully creepy.

And in amusing news, we have some sort of creature out front that is eating the bottom half of all the tomatoes we grow as they ripen. We got Nellie to sit in her yard and watch ours, to see what would happen. She looked away for a half second and it got them all! I checked the teeth marks, and it looks like a rabbit. Or a squirrel. This morning, Dad watered the tomatoes that were left, and walked inside for a moment. He went back out less than a minute later, and the ones he had watered had been devoured.

At that point, he wailed to the sky, “The squirrel’s a ninja, I tell you! A NINJAAAAA!” Everyone in the neighborhood ignored him. *laughs*

LOL - Love the nerd girl wooing article. Awesome! I giggled at just about every tip. So true!

I sympathize with your ninja squirrel problem. We got one of those too.

I am telling you --- those squirrels are wild! I thought it was just something in the air this year, then the S.O. reminded me that back in 1993 or so my mother had an ongoing fight with a squirrel who'd dig up her potted plants on the front porch to bury their nuts (ala Bill Murray in Caddyshack, with my mom in the Bill Murray role and the tree squirrel in the starring role of the gopher). The fights were kind of epic.

How to meet and woo a nerdy girl... is this something I should be taking notes on / paying particular attention to? ;)

Though I most certainly agree with this sentence (from tip number three): the nerd girl of your dreams is a brainiac. Too true, too true... *sigh*

And the thing about libraries and bookstores? The only problem is knowing which one (and then getting a certain someone's attention away from her books... ;))

Oh, and collectibles? Only the fact I'm totally out of room has stopped me! (almost... I mean, I had to get the DeLorean licence plate... :D)

So, are there any tomatoes left now, and any point in anyone hiding with a video camera waiting to see what it is? Assuming it's from this world... ;)
