Dad asked her--she doesn't know of anyone. She's been married (he was out of town for this incident, unfortunately) a few years, and doesn't know of anyone that would have a grudge against her. Not personally, or at the office where she works.
Unfortunately, keeping him inside has never been an option. Ever since he was a puppy he gets upset and begs to go back outside. He would probably dig his way out, if that were possible--he's great at that. Even during the ice storm, he wouldn't go inside. There's a little shed area, but he won't stay in there for long.
However, Rhonda's staying in a spot where she can see any movement in or around her yard for the time being. Dad's volunteered to look around every so often for her, even if the heat gets horrible.
ETA: Nice. Mom mentioned it to Nellie. We now have someone else on the lookout. She doesn't sleep at night, so that should help.
