Blockbuster, And A Poll
Blockbuster is having a going out of business sale this week--I noticed as I was leaving Books-A-Million, so went there. I haven’t been to a video store since the mid 90’s. I went to Blockbuster the day they opened around here, but they were too expensive, despite having a lot of old horror movies back then. That was the last time I went until today.
They did not have one single old horror movie. Since I think today was day 3 of their 6 day sale, most of the store was picked clean. But going by their comments, they didn’t have any old horror movies to begin with, not for at least a few years. I came away with the DVD of the Alan Tudyk version of Death at a Funeral, and the DVD of the first Back to the Future movie. I found Watcher In the Woods, but since I didn’t watch it when I was little, I didn’t think I would enjoy it now.
So if anyone on my friends list is near a Blockbuster, head out and see if they have anything worth grabbing.
