You know those welcome signs that have messages in front of a church? Looks like Friday's madness caused the wind to punch a hole straight through that sign at church, and then rip the plastic out and letters off. The metal around the edges is still there--they're working on fixing it. Roof leaked over where the instruments are kept and a couple pews, a handful of shingles blew away, and the heating was briefly knocked out. Aside from that, it looks like everything held up well.

In the last few days, I have managed to watch: Girlfriend From Hell, Innocent Blood, Biggles: Adventures In Time, and Return of the Living Dead--and something from 1992 called Ghostwatch. With that first one, I vaguely liked it—I had been wanting to watch it since I was 7 or 8. Aside from the one moment seared into my brain where people teleport into a topless bar, complete with a stripper that bears a striking likeness to one Jackie Tyler. Which just makes this icon all the more appropriate, I have to say. (And slightly awkward, as Mom passed through at that moment, and asked if the topless lady was her--IMDB says no.)

I loved Innocent Blood, and have now put it on the list of possible things to request in Yuletide next time around. I already have a Fright Night prompt.
