Book Hunt
There's a book that I'm trying to remember the name of. It was published probably around the late 80's or early 90's. It was hardcover, and on the front cover (which was otherwise mostly white) was a picture of a screaming skull with bright blue and possibly bloodshot eyes.
It was a book of urban legend type tales, and was probably meant for 9-12 year olds. The main one I remember was the one where a girl was told to stay in the car while a guy went to get gas for their empty car. In the end, a cop shows up and tells her not to look back--she does, sees that his blood had been dripping on the car all night, and screams. Her hair turns white, I believe.
There were quite a few other tales collected in this book, too. No idea on the exact number, though.
