Weather, Memes, And A Whole Lot More
Due to how unpredictable the freakish weather is currently being, I went ahead and bowed out of the smith_n_jones 1969 ficathon. Better to do that now, than end up having the person I was assigned end up the only one without a story on the due date, just in case things get worse. This means the only fanfic I need to do now would be the Martha as an Immortal one.
This morning alone, I believe it’s been: one crashing limb this morning, the water suddenly not working for anyone on our street (it’s fixed now--someone crashed into a fire plug or something), weird stuff with the power, and Dad attempting (and succeeding after a few minutes--a neighbor had the same problem and finally got in after 2 ½ hours) to get his key into the car’s lock and having issues since it was frozen shut. This was followed soon after by him going through the back door of the garage to take another picture.
He turned around to go back in, and couldn’t get in since the door (connected to the garage) was frozen shut. He eventually made it all the way around the house (without getting crushed by falling branches and shards of ice) and got back inside. The cat is smart enough that she refuses to go outside.
Oh, and the salt truck that’s used to salt the roads crashed, and reportedly slid off the road.
On the lighter side of things, I found a few memes on my friends list, and thought I would pass them along.

x_journal for my own benefit, just in case anything happens with the computer/power/whatever. It’s just a meme where the players are saying how they would bring certain characters back in, and I find it fascinating and possibly very useful.
