Two Memes And A Link
For those of you that care to vote, the Meggan PB poll is still open. It’s located here, and last I checked Felicia Day was in the lead with one vote. I’ll leave it open until Wednesday.
And now, a couple of memes. This first one was taken from
frenchroast. The questions and answers from that interview are beneath the cut.
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal. Whatever.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
1. If you could read any fanfic, what would it be and why?
Do you mean a specific scenario that I would want to see written? *goes back to the Christmas list that I made, many posts ago--which probably didn’t get answered.* I would love to see the Doctor get possessed by something--maybe the sun creature from 42 makes a comeback, or it’s just another sort of entity.
I like those kind of stories. Horror, or cracky.
2. When dealing with a broken fridge, what is the first item you eat so it "doesn't go to waste"? (I ask because you have experience here ;)
I believe I ate half a chicken sandwich so it wouldn’t go bad. Everything else ended up in the freezer in the garage. I’m a picky eater, so most of the stuff in the fridge wasn’t anything I would eat anyway. Things like ice cream, and pie are things I’ve never liked. Nobody else really ate anything so it wouldn’t go to waste either, though...
Also, Mom told me today that one of the things that she found in the back of the old fridge, in a section you could open was a shattered chocolate Easter Bunny. (Mom would shatter them, because I couldn’t eat them otherwise--they were hollow, too.) Mom hasn’t bought those since I was 10, so it’s been sitting there for 16 years. It went into the trash quickly.
3. Are you a sock person?
Usually, unless it’s in the hundreds outside and I don’t have to go anywhere. If I have to go anywhere, I always wear socks, though.
4. If you could only recommend one author to me, who would it be and why?
That would be tough, since I know of so many good ones. However, the first that popped into my head was Fred Saberhagen. He wrote the best Dracula novels, where Dracula portrayed himself as someone tormented by people who didn’t know anything about him. They were hysterical.
5. What was your favorite tv show back in the "good old days" of Nickelodeon?
Oh, there were so many. I can’t tell just one, so I’ll narrow it down to my top 6. Are You Afraid Of the Dark, Clarissa Explains It All, The Secret World of Alex Mack, Welcome Freshmen, Roundhouse, and the first few seasons of All That, before it went downhill. These were the shows that I never missed. I always made sure I was home for them. They were all airing on Saturday back then, I believe--Snick.
The next meme, I’ve taken from
redeem147:
1 Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2 Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3 Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4 This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

This one was made by
redscharlach. It’s the episode of Torchwood where cannibals attacked. Ianto was looking into the large fridge, and there was meat (from people) hanging inside. Hence the look of horror. It’s also a good icon for times when the fridge isn’t cooperating.

This icon was made by
amberleewriter. It’s one of the best icons I’ve seen of the time when Methos was Death. It’s from the episode Comes A Horseman, back when he was one of the Four Horsemen.

This one was made by
pureglasscup. It’s merely Illyana Rasputin waving--and since it’s one of the few Illyana icons I have in this journal, it’s the one I tend to use the most when Illyana is involved in a post. I have no idea what issue of New Mutants it would have been from, though.

This one was made by
purpleseraphim. It’s of a scene in one of the Batman comics where Bruce has just come back from fighting Poison Ivy as Batman. He’s under the influence of her pollen, and is very happy. Alfred doesn’t like that, turns off the hot water in the shower, and shocks him back to his senses. It’s also true that Alfred is one of the best characters in the comics.

This one was made by
dirkdigital, and might be a little on the obscure side. It’s an icon from a scene in the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 episode Hobgoblins. During the movie, I think someone was killed by hobgoblins (really pitiful looking puppets) in a bank vault. This prompts one of the robots (either Crow or Servo, I don’t know which since it’s been a while since I watched) to shout out, “That bank door killed a man!”
