The Day So Far...
Yesterday, the cat was acting like she was in pain, and couldn’t eat her cat food--not even her tuna. So Dad took her to the vet today, and it turns out the gum around one tooth is swollen, and the tooth is infected. It’s an abscessed tooth, so we’re giving her antibiotics. We’re hoping that works, because otherwise she loses a tooth. Dad made it clear that that is the last resort, and we don’t want to do that unless we can't do anything else.
She was also a good patient while over there, despite casually reaching over with one arm in a fake stretch, and dragging her carrier a little closer. She was trying to be subtle, it didn't work, and the vet moved the carrier out of reach. After that, she just hid her face in Dad's arms, did a small whimper, and let him do what was needed without scratching anyone.
In other news, last night we had a mild aftershock around 10 PM. Didn’t feel a thing, since it was only a 2.7.
Oh, and Squeaky (owner of IJ) has posted a poll here, about the future servers and whether a change in the cost of paid accounts is worth it. Just thought I would let people know, so they can add their suggestions.
Sidenote: This icon is the only one I have that has a cat in it.
ETA: Ha! Mom's actually making beef soup for the cat. We know she'll eat the broth from it, so she's trying to make some for her.
