Varney the Vampire--a bite from him would take 500 chapters to finish. So that's a no on that front. Nosferatu? He spreads plague via a ship filled with rats, so that’s a no. Definitely not when it comes to the Buffyverse vampires, since the soul is gone entirely. Besides, Angelus (or Drusilla) would drive me insane first.

I’m not the glittering sort, so those Twilight vampires are—thankfully—immediately out.

If I had to get bitten, maybe Barnabas Collins--since Julia Hoffman should have made him an antidote that actually works by now, so I won’t be roaming the docks very long. Maybe Sita, from The Last Vampire (written by Christopher Pike). She always seemed interesting, and I think she was still able to function during the daylight hours.

Either Dracula or Carmilla might be okay, too. I like the classic vampires, obviously.

There was also one that travelled on moonbeams--Dr. Polidori's Lord Ruthven. Throw him in as a possibility.
