I tried to post this yesterday, but apparently picked a time when LJ happened to be down. Yesterday was Towel Day. aeron_lanart describes it. And apparently, going by that post, the 25th was Geek/Nerd Pride Day, too.
In Australia, ninjas saved a student from muggers.

Another remake is on the horizon: it’s Soapdish this time. Yes, they’re actually remaking Soapdish. I downloaded it at one point, and it was okay—I don’t like Sally Field or Robert Downey, Jr., so I guess I was mainly watching for Whoopi.
