So Much Water...

Since Saturday, we've received an additional 5 inches of rain, added on to whatever other amount there was. We get more moderate to heavy rain at least through tonight and on into tomorrow. On Park Avenue, we seem to be losing Kroger’s, which is a few miles away from the mall. The water rose enough that they had to close.

Livingston County finally evacuated. Brookport Bridge (which goes over the Ohio River) is now closed. Ledbetter, Kentucky--which I think is Marshall County--is also evacuating as fast as they can. In Smithland, all important court documents and computers are being moved to the highest floor. The lower portion of Fulton County is evacuating. People there have been instructed to come here to Paducah for shelter. I think a few others were supposed to be evacuating, but I'm not sure which counties.

Oh, and yet another person decided to drive across a completely flooded area, got stuck, started to sink, and was rescued.
