Success!

I just installed the Windows Update patch for IE8 that I mentioned yesterday, with fingers crossed. Following some browsing through Whedonesque, SFX, Comics Alliance, and several other sites that I couldn't see in IE following the upgrade to this version, I believe I can safely say that that was a success, and this particular issue is resolved.
