Bittorents Question

I have a question. Is there a program you need to download before you can use Bittorents? I recently tried to download something from this site, but I couldn't open what was downloaded.

Do you have a client like Azureus or Bitcomet? The regular Bittorrent client is okay, but it doesn't let you select specific files. Also not a good choice for downloading the gigatorrents from Zcult.

I'd suggest downloading Azureus, nice and simple and looks graphically alright.

Yes, I'd second that. It's simple but still has some cool features - you can choose which files to download, and how high priority they are.

When you have the files (cbr or cbz; the torrent itself is a .torrent file and opened with the client, i.e. Azureus) you can unzip them or read them with CDisplay as they are (which I'd recommend). (http://www.geocities.com/davidayton/CDisplay)

Hmm, there's the torrent file [a very small one] and the "true" file [say, a cult comic release]. I don't quite understand if you could download the torrent file and bot the comics [in which case a new bittorrent client could help], or you did download the comics, but couldn't open them. They are usually in .cbr or .cbz format. You will need either an specific program to open them, or some program that knows how to open .zip and .rar files [.cbr's are .rar files with a bunch of .jpgs inside plus a thumbs database and some extra stuff; .cbz's are zip files].
