You know, this picture makes me think of Kitty. Not just the early Excalibur costume, but it also reminds me of Cat in the Magik miniseries.

Now that I look closer, I think you're right. Especially with how she looked as Cat. If she had learned a bit of sorcery, she probably would have looked exactly like that.

And that's only if Belasco didn't make her even more cat-like for doing something wrong.

I wonder if there's any fanfic of Kitty getting stuck in Limbo and learning magic instead of Illyana...
