Rambling Rants, Part 2
Taken from
penknife. I think I've done this before, but it's an interesting meme.
1. Comment with any ship from a fandom that you know I like, or at least have some knowledge about.
2. I will ramble for 100 words about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on what it is.
3. Put this on your LJ, if you are so inclined.

As time went on, and they both matured, they became really good friends. The visions made her a better person, and she helped Angel to open up more.
If the whole Evil Cordy/Jasmine thing hadn't happened (and if Groo had never come to their dimension), they probably would have gotten together a lot sooner.
On her side, Cordelia usually kept Angel from brooding too much, or going completely off the deep end. On his side, Angel was always there for her. (Except for the brief period during his obsession with Darla and Drusilla.)
The best episode with the two of them together was the final episode with them together. You're Welcome. Very sad, and it would have been better if she had stayed to the end. (Imagine her reaction to Illyria.)
I'm going to completely ignore the problem of Connor/Cordy, since I think Cordy was possessed at that point. I mentioned Groo, because at the time they were dating, she was still Cordelia.

Anyway, I was wondering what your thoughts were on... hmmm, lets say Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon :D
What? Oh yeah, you've already said ;)
Okiedokie, hows about... Willow Rosenberg and Tara Maclay? :D

This couple seemed perfect together. Probably one of the few slash pairings that I actually like.
On Tara's side. She helped bring out the confidence in Willow. In turn, she also became more confident. She was able to stand up to her family, and tell them to never come near her again. She was sort of like the calmness in the middle of a storm. She brough peace to Willow.
I think she was even described as something like an Earth Mother at one point. When they combined their powers (I hate saying that--sounds like they're bringing Captain Planet to life.) they were stronger. They could cast stronger spells.
On Willow's side. Her powers grew, and she had someone to turn to when she needed help. During the rare times she didn't want to turn to the other Scoobies, at least. Tara helped keep her calm during the time when she was distraught after Joyce died. Her love for Tara was most evident in the aftermath of Glory's attack. When Tara was insane, and needed help, Willow took care of her. Then went after Glory for revenge. (One of the first hints that Willow's magic could really take her off the good path.)
They were always strongest when they were together. After Buffy's death, they stood by each other, and helped each other grieve.
Things started going wrong for them when Willow betrayed Tara's trust, and took Tara's memories the way Glory did. What with that, the addiction to magic, and Willow casting the spell that took everyone's memories away, it took a long time for Tara to trust her again.
Unfortunately, the moment they got back together, a single bullet took everything away.
(Thanks, Sean! This will eventually go in the Willow/Tara essay. :D)

Glad to help :D
I know you don't read the current books, but how about thoughts on...
Rachel Summers/Grey and Kurt Wagner?
(there was teasing and hinting maybe-ness a few months ago in Uncanny, but once the "main" stories start up it's gone to the background)

I think Kurt may have had feelings for her in the older series. Of course, he also had feelings for Meggan--who had feelings for Brian.
After everything that they've been through, it does sound logical for them to get together. I think I would probably like that pairing, and they would be cute together. (Of course, Kurt looks cute with almost anyone--a long time ago, I loved and hoped for Kitty/Kurt. This was back when Excalibur was still around.)
