Is The Smoke Black Or White? And A New Pope Is Chosen...
This is a conversation that took place on ICQ after the 2nd or 3rd time the bells rang at the Vatican.
Anna1: :lol:
On TV, this just happened at the Vatican.
Reporter: Can you hear bells?
Man: What?
Reporter: Can you? Is the smoke white?
Man: What bells?
Reporter: CAN YOU HEAR BELLS?
Man: No.
Reporter: Nobody can tell if the smoke is black or white.
Sean DC: They were commenting on that earlier... everyone started celebrating, before the white smoke turned black... and the bells rang - to tell the time...
Anna1: The bells rang.
Reporter: That's just the 6:00 bell.
*People cheer.*
Reporter: The smoke's white!
Man: That's just a trick of the light.
That's the third time the bell has rung today. :lol:
Sean DC: *a Cardinal sneaks along the secret corridor, laughing*
Anna1: They're mean. :D
Sean DC: They've got to have some fun :lol:
Anna1: Cardinal: Nothing to see here. Move along.
*starts the white smoke and sneaks away. Waits for cheers before making it black.*
Sean DC: "It's white! It's white! It's... rainbow?"
Anna1: Reporter: Thought it was white at first. Now it's black, they said. But darn it, that's grey! We need another signal.
*Cheers start again when the bell rings.*
Anna1: Reporter: It's not the bell that rings at a quarter after. Let's just...wait and see.
Anna1: Meanwhile...
*Hunchback of Notre Dame has moved in.*
Sean DC: hehehe - a signal?
A Pope's hat shone on a big searchlight, perhaps? :lol:

Anna1: They've chosen a pope. Finally!
Anna1: Reporter: It's over...but we won't know for a few moments. And if the Cardinal accepts.
Sean DC: What, he's standing there "nup, not gonna do it!"? :lol:
Anna1: Right. :lol:
Cardinal: Don't wanna!
Cardinal #2: OK....next! Anyone want the job? Who came in 2nd place?
Sean DC: Cardinal #3: I don't know. Gee, I didn't expect the Spanish Inquistion!
