DVD From Amazon

I now own The Batman/Superman Movie. I bought the DVD from Amazon, and it arrived a few minutes ago. Has anyone else seen this movie? Just curious to know if it was a waste of money, or a good movie.

It's the 1998 animated thingy? If so, I found it entertaining (animated Lex is, as always, a pleasure to behold) and at times visually kinda beautiful. (I swear, I never write things like "kinda beautiful" outside LJ... I'm blaming peer pressure).

On an unrelated note, your "Spooky" icon has been flashing behind my eyelids now and then for weeks. There's a rythm to the words, and the perfectly matched image, that'd make it great even if we didn't know that Batman is, indeed, Superman's Spooky. Whether he wants to admit it or not.

Looks like the "Spooky" icon has turned into a subliminal way to control someone's mind. :D (Maybe the "Be Afraid" icon will stop it from flashing in your mind.)

I always read the lines on that icon to be sort of how Elmyra would say it. (From Tiny Toons) The whole "And I'll hug him and squeeze him and call him George." type of thing.

And it gets more disturbing when you think of how Elmyra locked all those animals in cages in her house.

Makes you think of Batman trying to do that to Superman--with a Kryptonite cage, of course.

I liked it enough to watch it more than once. But, then, I adore pretty much all of the animated Batman and Superman and Justice League stuff.

The ending...but, no, that comment can wait. :-)

I love how the Harley and Mercy bit really highlighted the inherent misogyny of both Lex and the Joker.
