Quick Update

Just a quick update before I have to leave this computer. I was right, and I have lost everything on the computer.

According to Dad, he couldn't even use Go back to make it work. So, he is going to reformat the computer. Which will take 8 hours, and I will lose everything.

Dude, if that was me, I'd have a password on that thing so fast it'd make his head spin, once it was up and running again. I mean, WHO DOES THAT? Just randomly deletes files like that? I can't imagine the thought process.

Don't worry about losing that talk, I'm sure we can remember it (or most of it) and list everything again.

Hi! Saw your post on a friend's list and thought I would offer a little help, if it's not too late. I went through the same thing recently. Did your computer accept the most recent update from Microsoft? I forget what it's called, but go into your add/remove programs section and remove the latest update. It was a big one that was supposed to handle a number of security problems with your computer, but it causes it to freeze up if your memory goes too low. Remove the program and set the computer back about a month. (You can reset the date later.)

Oh you poor thing. *hug* I totally know how that is. Man...that's horrible.

So far, I'm not sure. Dad just revealed that a few months ago he decided to save all my stuff. Now, just what month that was? I have no idea. (A few months ago could be December for him.) Until I can get a good computer, I won't know what I still need.

(And until he's able to put everything back on it, too.)
