My Cat

Over at catography, I posted a few pictures of my cat. The last picture posted is one where she's been drinking the water out of a new bird bath a friend gave my mom. Cute.

Meanwhile, Mom just tried to get a picture of that cat that kept hanging around. We'll see if they develop later on. As proof that it prefers the kids across the street, it stays with them, and won't go near me anymore. This is a good thing.

Not so great: It still wants to be friends with my cat. My cat hates her, and chases her away. The stray seems to think that they're friends.

Oh, and the stray cat? It's a girl--and the kids named her Tommy. Gender identity confusion is going to be in this cat's future, I foresee.

And funny seeing her drink out of the birdbath :D Just as well it's a small one, so she doesn't have to jump up...

Just remind your folks not to put in a fishpond anytime soon :lol:

As for Tommy... what if "Tommy" is short for "Tomato"?...

I doubt that it's short for tomato. The kids seem to have a thing for naming their pets after famous people they like.

They have a dog named Kelly--named that after Kelly Clarkson on American Idol.

I'm still trying to think of who Tommy might be. Tommy Lee Jones?
