1 - If you want to be interviewed, leave a comment.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
The questions from
cereta (and their answers) are next.
1. You're presented with someone who has never heard of Buffy/Angel/the whole ME-verse. You've got five minutes to explain to them why they should take time out of their lives to experience it. What do you say?
I would probably describe the wonderful character development and storylines. Let them decide for themselves whether or not they think they would like it.
2. What is it about on-line role playing that appeals to you? How does it differ from traditional fiction writing?
Mostly the chance to write for one character only. That's probably also the main difference from fanfic writing. If you can't write for a certain character, then you just don't play that character. It's also very interesting to think of ways they could change from how they were portrayed in the shows.
3. Judging by your birthday, you're just old enough to be looking at a new crop of teenagers with some distance. What's one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were 18?
The only advice for a younger, 18 year old me that I can think of would probably be this: Don't be such a picky eater, as within 2 years you'll be in the hospital with anemia. Eat vegetables.
4. If you could get everyone in your life to read one book, whether because you think it's important or just because you think they'd enjoy it, what would it be, and why?
I honestly don't know. I'm a bookaholic, and love to read a lot of genres of books. But if they had to read one book? Probably The Dracula Tape by Fred Saberhagen. It's Dracula's point of view, and makes him seem like the victim.
5. You've done a number of ship_manifesto essays. Let's reverse that: is there a pairing that occurs commonly in fanfic that you either just don't see or actively dislike? Why?
Oh, this is definitely the easiest question. The answer is yes. If I made a list of pairings I hate? Willow/Kennedy would be at the very top of that list. (It's not that common in fanfic, thank goodness. It's just one that I really don't like.)

2. If you were only allowed to read one book for the rest of your life, and nothing else, what would it be?
3. If you had the chance to go back in time, and see your younger self, what would you tell him to do differently?
4. Are there any television shows that you started out hating, and grew to love? If so, what was it and what made you change your mind?
5. If you could journey to another dimension, or another planet, would you? Even if it meant you might not be able to go back to where you once lived?

*ducks*
Well, I figure you'd already know my answer to this - interview me! :D

2. What would you do if vampires were real, and you were forced to spend a night in the graveyard? Keep in mind that you don't know they're real until you see them. Meaning you don't have crosses or holy water.
3. If you could spend the rest of your life in any other universe, which would it be? (Examples: Buffyverse, X-Men, etc...)
4. If you were abducted by aliens, what would your reaction be? And no, the aliens aren't Thor's race.
5. If you had the ability to travel through time (No, not like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.) where/when would you want to go, and why? Keep in mind that if you can't get back to the present you could be stuck there permanently.

Well, does the signal flare guarantee rescue? I mean, if it does, then flare me up! If not, well comics would be over too early *sigh*, so it'd have to be book. Some kind of collected omnibus edition... waidaminit - *both* are available in the same package. The Complete Far Side :D (of course, this would be rather ironic given the number of desert island panels).

I hope I had lots and lots of garlic bread that night, since I'd need garlic breath and that's the only garlic I eat...
Or hope the caretakers won't mind so much if I start breaking branches for stakes.
Or just hope I've got enough 21st century goodies in my bloodstream to make it unfit for vampire consumption...
3. If you could spend the rest of your life in any other universe, which would it be? (Examples: Buffyverse, X-Men, etc...)
The one where I'm unquestioned lord and master of the universe, of course! :D Or the one where it rains donuts...
Well, I'd probably fit in a lot better in the X-verse (and stay young forever), but I think I'm going to go with the Trek-verse, and stake out a holodeck to call my own...
4. If you were abducted by aliens, what would your reaction be?
"Thor! Buddy!"
And no, the aliens aren't Thor's race.
Oh. Well, depends if they were nice aliens, or bad aliens. Quite possibly "About time, let's roll! Well... fly... just- let's go!"
5. If you had the ability to travel through time
Excellent!
(No, not like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.)
Bogus.
where/when would you want to go, and why? Keep in mind that if you can't get back to the present you could be stuck there permanently.
Well, given the risk of being stuck, the future, most definately. I couldn't hack being back much further than 1980 - seeing the kind of things that are taken for granted in the older teachers magazines... wow.
