Update On The Hurricane, And Some Good News...

Good news: I went to the dentist this morning, and the tooth that caused so much pain? It isn't dead after all. (seandc called it a Phoenix Tooth.) Also? No work needed to be done on the other tooth, since when the dental assistant fixed it 2 weeks ago, she didn't create a temporary filling, but a permanent one. No need for any dental work, and I went home.

Bad news: The residual thunderstorms and strong winds from Hurricane Katrina were originally going to hit Wednesday. Now, they should be here by this evening. Dad is going around town to stock up on food in case of a power outage.

Me: So...going to Wal-Mart for anything? (I was secretly hoping he was, so I could get more potato wedges from there.)
Dad: Probably...*sigh* Potato wedges, right? We need to stock up on those.
Mom: *starts laughing*
Me: Right.

That would be why you go to a Army-Navy surplus store and buy the rations from there. Then you buy lots of bottled water, so you can have a rather nice diet during the time of duress.
