Pairing Meme: The Sixth Post
1. Comment with any ship from a fandom that you know I like, or at least have some knowledge about.
2. I will ramble for 100 words about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on what it is.
3. Put this on your LJ, if you are so inclined.
If you want to know what ships I've all ready commented on in the other 5 posts, just click the tag. You should see all the posts.

When one is being annoying, the other just waits him out. They almost always trust each other. Or if one hurts the other, that one is quickly forgiven. Each knows how the other will act in a certain situation, and tries to provide aid, if necessary. (Superman tried to offer help during No Man's Land, but realized the people needed to do it themselves. Batman let him learn that himself.)
Bruce tends to get some light thrown into his life whether he wants it or not--and all because of Clark. He has learned to feel hope in despair because of Clark. He kept Clark for giving in when Mageddon controlled Clark. When J'onn telepathically linked Bruce and Clark during that time, Bruce forced him to fight.
Clark gets to see Bruce's darkness. He doesn't always like it, but he accepts it. And he tries to get Bruce to at least smile at times. It rarely works--but he might get a rare joke.
I love the stories based on this pairing. The fanfic that I've read that were good, tended to be best at showing their friendship first and foremost.

I barely know anything about this pairing, since I only just started to get interested in the Young Justice comics through
From what I can tell, they make a pretty cute couple. I don't know nearly enough about the two of them to say how they compliment each other. From the little I have seen, though, I would have to say that Superboy is a stabilizing influence on Bart.

Please note that I didn't start to read anything that involved her until after her death. I think Stephanie changed for the better because of Tim.
Stephanie was good for Tim because he didn't have to lie to her about where he went at night. She was one of the heroes of Gotham, and they could fight side by side. (Well, at least until that horrible War Crimes storyline...)

And this time, I think, would be a good time to ask about... *drumroll*
Wash and Zoe! :D

On Wash's side? He gets a dose of seriousness from Zoe, and learns more about his wife each and every day. While he has had brief moments of jealousy about Mal, he trusts her implicitly. He knows she would never cheat on him; just as he would never willingly cheat on her. Saffron proved that without a shadow of a doubt. No matter how Saffron tried to seduce him, he still said no.
Most of it was love, although there might have been a small portion that knew that Zoe could easily hurt him if he cheated.
On Zoe's side? Wash allows her to see the humor in life. Most of the time, she's been a soldier, and has grimly survived obstacles. Wash can make her laugh, and feel like a woman. From his offer to buy her a slinky dress, to his gallantness with her. With him, she has contemplated having a child--even though their life is extremely unpredicatable and often dangerous. In that instance, Wash was the voice of reason.
Together they are a good pair--hopefully Joss Whedon won't choose to tear them apart at any point. (Haven't seen Serenity, so I don't know for sure what he will do to them.)

While I'm not sure they would have lasted had they actually been able to get married, they seemed an interesting couple. (It's never a good sign when the priest is incinerated by a demon before you can say "I do.")

Angel seemed to be less broody when they were together. As long as he didn't become perfectly happy, that was great. At least, when she was human. He became darker when she was turned, but eventually came around. Eventually. He did start to care for her--albeit right before it was time for her to give birth. If she had survived, they might have made an interesting couple.
Darla would have been able to move on with Angel while she was human, if she hadn't been turned by Drusilla. Even after she was turned, though, she started to get a little nicer. At least, right before she gave birth. Sacrificing her life to give birth to Connor was proof of that.
