Question

I know that Firefly has [profile] the_cortex for fandom related things. But does the Veronica Mars fandom have a similar site?

There's the [livejournal.com profile] vm_navigator but it's in serious need of someone prodding it back to life. There's certainly nothing like regular updates anymore that I've seen.

Short answer: Not really.

There have been a couple attempts to get a VM news site off the ground, but both that I know of ([livejournal.com profile] vm_news and [livejournal.com profile] vm_navigator) both stopped updating quite a ways back. Although [livejournal.com profile] vm_navigator claims it's going to start back up again, it has yet to do so. Still, they've archived the older happenings in the fandom. And, if you're looking for the fic part of the news posts, [livejournal.com profile] vm_fic is a great place to go. It's a very well-organized list of recs. Lovely comm.

But, basically, if you want to know what's happening in general, you have to keep track of [livejournal.com profile] veronica_mars, [livejournal.com profile] veronicamarsfic, and [livejournal.com profile] veronica_icons. Pretty much most everything that's posted in any VM comm anywhere is posted to one of those. Alas, many of the things found in private LJs aren't.

Yeah, it's pretty decentralized at the moment. *crosses fingers that [livejournal.com profile] vm_navigator gets off the ground again*
