Irfranview Related Questions

I'm going to be working on a few things for serenity_santa, and btvs_santa soon. I'm going to try now, just in case I happen to have anything else happen before Christmas. (An abcessed tooth and swollen cheek, a root canal, a bad cold, regular dental work next week and a 24 hour stomach virus are enough.)

I have a couple questions, though, since I only use Irfranview. I don't have Photoshop, and would not have a clue how to use it to do anything if I had it.

1. How do you make shadows behind the letters when you insert text? I know I've done it once before in the past--probably for last year's btvs_santa, but I have no idea how to do this now.

2. Are there any website tutorials on Irfranview? Ones that explain each step for specific alterations of an image?

Those are the only two questions I can think of for now, but there might be more later.

1. You mean a drop shadow? Might look for text effects or something similar. I'm not familiar with Irfanview at all.

Yes, I think that's probably what it was called. I'll have to look through it to see if I can get it to do that again.
