On the fanfic front: The way I was writing the Mal/Inara fanfic wasn't going to work. The number of cliches I was using to get Inara to come back to the ship after she left was way over the top. There was no way she would just decide to leave the place she was at to go to planet Sherwood.

So that idea was scrapped.

Now, she's actually Maid Inara, and Mal is Robin Hood to everyone. In private, everyone just calls him Mal. And there's the idea of Little Jayne, which makes me laugh when I try to think of why he would be called that. It will *not* be explained in the story, so everyone can giggle about it to their heart's content.

I'll be doing the rewrite and, hopefully, it will be done by Tuesday.

In other news, I just watched episode 21 from season 1 of Veronica Mars. And...just...wow. Unfortunately, I read a spoiler somewhere by accident earlier, so I knew who had hurt her. Even knowing a little, I was stunned. I'm not spoiling anything, so no need for an LJ cut.

Those who comment with spoilers are welcome, though. Those who don't want to be spoiled? Beware.

I was a little disappointed with how neatly the "party/GHB" storyline wrapped up but there were some great scenes in that ep. Probably the last great scene that Teddy Dunn had before they returned him to the doom of being Mr. Cardboard.

I know. I've seen him in season 2, and he's just emotionless. He was actually good in those confrontation scenes, though.
