But--Bruce Wayne/Jim Gordon is a PERFECTLY REASONABLE pairing! I mean, as these things go--same continuity, same general age range, clearly they have a special regard for each other--it doesn't get written much, but it gets proposed/requested fairly often.

Lois Lane/Bruce Wayne, OTOH, is canon, in toonverse--see the Batman/Superman movie!

I've seen that movie, and it's definitely good. Poor Bruce just doesn't have any luck with women at all.

And I'm pretty sure that I've seen at least a couple of Bruce Wayne/Jim Gordon fanfics floating around the internet...

this is addictive, isn't it? i think my vote for weirdest pairing on your list has to go to connor macleod/barbara gordon. or maybe alfred pennyworth/spike.

also, if someone wrote smallville!lex luthor/methos, i think i would expire from the hot.

Definitely extremely addictive.

Alfred/Spike is more than likely the strangest one, so I agree on that. I couldn't see it working, since Spike would make a mess, Alfred would glare, and Spike would be too afraid to annoy him again. :D

And I would definitely love to see Lex/Methos. Preferably the Lex from Smallville--you just know the ancient history would fascinate him.

I could swear that I've actually seen someone write an Angel/Riley pairing but I can't remember where.
