Question

I have a few questions for the friends list.

I am trying to cut the Mr. Boogedy movies into 100 MB chunks, since that's the most Youtube can upload at a time. I have never tried something like this before, so I need to know how to go about it.

Does anyone know how to do this? A specific program to use?

The video files have an extension of .VOB, and is in 4 parts at this point (0.99 GB each) if this is of any help at all.

That file type is apparently compatible with Youtube--I did a test by uploading the menu that came with it. It worked, but I deleted it since it doesn't really relate to the movie, and isn't needed there.

You could try WinRar (http://www.rarlab.com/) Never used it myself but it was listed at a community I frequent as program that could be used to split files.

Other than that, the only thing that I can think of is that if you have a PC computer with Windows on it, try to see if the Movie Maker program that's on it will let you split the movie into more manageable chunks.

I wasn't holding my breath about Movie Maker, but hopefully WinRar works for you.

And you're welcome.

Check out dvdshrink for splitting into smaller parts. Let me know how it goes; I used to have a routine down, but it's been ages since I've done any copying myself.

You may want to convert the .vob files into avi, because they will be quicker to upload. On the other hand, that conversion isn't exactly fast in the first place.
