Invasion Of The Ants
Yesterday evening, I saw and killed a couple of ants.
This morning, according to Mom, she got up and went into the kitchen--only to see dozens of ants. She didn't notice at first, since she was half asleep.
She rinsed out a cup, put ice and tea in it, and started to drink. She looked inside, and saw the ants crawling all over the ice...sort of using it as a life raft...
Yes, she drank some of them before looking! She then poured that out, rinsed all the cups out, and didn't tell me just how bad it was until a minute ago. Ick!
In the revised version, it wasn't dozens of ants--it was hundreds. Where they're coming from, I don't know.

(I won't do that, since everyone would think I was nuts.)
Well, there was a few months when the bathroom was infested by ants a couple years ago. Nothing killed them. Finally, Dad looked through the cupboards in there, and found a few chemicals (Old dishwashing liquid? Nobody knows...it was over 20 years old, whatever it used to be.) that had disolved the package they were in, since they were so old. Dad carefully disposed of that, and the ants left.
Now, what could be in the kitchen, I have no idea.
