X-Men 3
First of all, the entire theatre was filled. Thankfully, there weren't any crying babies or anything to ruin it.
Unfortunately, I had accidentally read a few spoilers about Scott and Xavier dying. Even though I knew Xavier was going to die, I still loved that scene in the house.
And is it just me, or are there tons of Magneto/Xavier subtext in this one? The funeral for Charles almost made me cry--but not quite.
I didn't know Jean would die, too, though. While it's very different to see The Dark Phoenix Saga without Scott, I think it may have worked fine.
I think Ellen Page did a great job as Kitty. I thought she would be horrible, but she was actually pretty good. I lost a bit of respect for Rogue for taking the easy way out, though--but it's still better than angsting for eternity like the comics version of her.
Loved Kelsey Grammar as Beast--I was prepared to hate him, too, but he's good. I still don't like Halle Berry. (Did she lose that fake accent from the first movie?)
Oh, and 20 minutes into the movie, a girl sitting beside me got up to go to the bathroom--and tripped over Dad's feet. We were all right next to the stairs, so she would have taken a header down them. Dad caught her. (Meanwhile, I was trying to get my seat down after she passed--I brought my legs up so she could get by, and the chair swallowed me.)
And as Magneto started throwing cars, and Pyro set them on fire, Dad turned to me and said this: "I'll bet you this movie cost a lot to make." Fight scenes mean nothing to this man.
Thought it was interesting that he was made powerless. Loved the reference to the first movie, with Magneto playing chess. (And the fact that he faintly moved a chess piece with his returning powers!) Things have come full circle. Is he supposed to be a homeless guy now?
At the very end, I stayed until after the credits. (About half the audience left, but a lot of people were still there.) I didn't know Claremont was the lawnmower guy. :D (I did recognize Stan Lee, though.)
When they showed that Xavier was in another body, this happened to the few that had stayed through the credits.
Xavier: Hello, Moira....
Random guy in front: BOO!!!! Mwahahahaha!
Random girls throughout audience: EEEEEEE!!!!!
Rest of audience: *laughter*
One of the girls in the same row as him then proceeded to punch the guy that did that.
ETA: Almost forgot to mention. As everyone left the theatre that held X-Men 3, a few punk-like guys said "Wow, look at all the nerds and geeks!" Someone then shoved him to make him shut up. I wasn't offended at all. (Nerd and proud of it.)
ETA 2: I saw the preview for Snakes on a Plane. Dad freaked out, since it's not his kind of movie. They also had the preview for Superman Returns--Lex looks perfect, but I'm not too confident on their choice for Superman.

I actually only read the spoiler that said Scott was biting it, I think everyone heard that, lol, but I didnt expect Xavier to, Jean I was iffy on either way, I dont even like Jean usually. But I adored the movie so much, the midnight show was really way to fun. The crowd was kicking.

I don't think I ever saw the preview for Superman Returns that aired during Smallville, though.
This crowd was good, too. Thankfully, nobody's cell phone went off during it.

Surprisingly not for us either, which was pretty amazing in such a large crowd, but you could tell these guys were some serious fans, I think if one phone rang someone would have had a shoe thrown at them, lol.

At least, judging by the weird music that came from a few people, anyway.

The Mags thing was... nothing. Just another way to try and go, "Look, we might do a sequel after all! Nudhe, nudge, wink, wink!" Same with the coda of Xavier/Moira.
Far too short a film for all the crap they shoved into it. Bad make-up.
Superman, however, looks awesome. Go download the full trailer on the internet. I wasn't convinced about the movie until I saw that trailer, and then that sealed it for me. Bryan and company kicked ass on that film. I predict it will also kick X3's ass. ;)

There was definitely a bunch of places where that was obvious. And don't forget bad wardrobe. Arclight? What were they thinking with that outfit?
Go download the full trailer on the internet.
I plan on it. Unless I find it over on Youtube, anyway.

Yes! Someone who actually feels the same way I do about her choice! Yes! But my reaction when Magneto's powers came back was that it had to come back for Rogue too - so I was really happy :D

Subtext? Nah, never. ;)
angsting for eternity like the comics version of her.
That's just from being a modern-day X-Man, not endemic to her; keep an eye on the Adjectiveless-X-Men trades (I'm not sure where they're up to). Rogue. Gambit. Polaris. Havok.... need I go on?
And as Magneto started throwing cars, and Pyro set them on fire,
And I'm imagining if Pyro was still a-evil and b-alive during Planet X (since as far as I can see this scene is taken from Xorneto's bag of tricks)...
Random guy in front: BOO!!!! Mwahahahaha!
I could've done that, but I doubt it would've worked on the usher cleaning up...
a few punk-like guys said "Wow, look at all the nerds and geeks!" Someone then shoved him to make him shut up.
Pity *they* didn't take a header down the stairs. To me, it's not what's said so much as the fact they say anything *at all*. Intent, tone, and all.
Ohhhh Jaaayyy-ssoonnnn... *EG*
They also had the preview for Superman Returns--Lex looks perfect, but I'm not too confident on their choice for Superman.
Lucky - we had a preview too, but because they were only just opening for the day, the snack bar took forever to take my order then move all the cups away from the drinks machine - before filling my order from another machine! So by the time I got to my seat I only got to hear the very last part of the Superman preview with Jor-El's words to his son.
We also had a preview for a new Pixar flick called Cars, being a CG film of living cars. The preview got a good laugh.
Re: Rogue
If by modern day you mean X-Men #1 onward, yes. I always associated WhinyPrat!Rogue with the induction of Gambit. *eyeroll* Early!Rogue was all like, "My powers suxxor so I'm going to kick your ass! And then I'm going to steal your memories for sheer voyeuristic thrill! Ha! Anyone up for ice cream?"

I really didn't like the movie at all.
