The Question Meme
1. What does your Livejournal name mean?
Calliopes_pen was changed from faith_of_borg. Calliope was one of the Greek muses--specifically, the muse of writing. I like writing in general, and simply added the word pen.
2. Elaborate on your default photo?
It's an icon of Willow from season 3 of Buffy. It has my username on it. I think someone made it for me as a gift.
3. Make up a question.
Hmm...what should I say here? That's a question, right? Done! *snorts*
4. What's your current relationship status?
Single.
5. What EXACTLY are you wearing right now?
Hmm...what to say to this? Okay, I confess--pajamas, since it's getting late. This old shirt is going to fall apart someday...*thwaps someone before they comment*
6. What is your current problem?
I can't think of one at the moment, other than hoping my grandmother does well with her hip surgery.
7. What do you love most?
If you don't know by now, what are you doing reading this? Books, of course.
8. What makes you most happy?
*points to the previous answer* That tops my list.
9. Are you musically inclined?
Definitely not. I have never tried to sing, and in regard to musical instruments? Not a chance. In elementary school, everyone was forced to play the recorder. I never could figure out how, and I just copied the movements of everyone else.
I'm great at listening, though. *laughs*
10. If you could go back in time, and change something, what would you change?
I might go back to my high school days, shake myself and scream to eat more iron, and then run away quickly. Leaving myself very confused, and possibly frightened of the crazy lady.
That, or leave a warning for my second grade self to avoid sitting on the edge of a table on a certain day. On that day, I fell off the edge of a table back-first, and couldn't move for about a minute and a half after that.
11. If you MUST be an animal for ONE day, what would you be?
Either a panther or a fox.
12. Ever have a near death experience?
Does that whole anemia mess qualify?
13. Name an obvious quality you have.
Quirkiness is the first thing to come to mind.
14. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
At the moment, there isn't one stuck in my mind.
15. Who did you cut and paste this from?
I won't say, since they aren't on my Friends List. I only found it when I was hunting through LJ seek for an image of someone. Somehow, this popped up.
16. Name someone with the same birthday as you.
Davy Crockett, Mae West, Maureen O'Hara, Robert De Niro, and Sean Penn. Those are just the ones I recognized at the August 17th Wikipedia entry.
17. Have you ever vandalized someone's private property?
Nope.
18. Have you ever been in a fight?
No, but I did break up one by politely asking if I could get through, and waiting for them to notice me--it was the only way I could get to my next class. They immediately stopped fighting, one boy bowed, and gestured for me to go on, (I said "thank you".)they waited for me to get far away, and resumed their fight. Meanwhile, the librarian was laughing hysterically.
19. Have you ever sung in front of a large audience?
Does an elementary school play count? If by singing you mean alone, then never.
20. What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
Whether or not they're polite or rude pigs.
21. What do you usually order from Starbucks?
I've actually never seen a Starbucks around here.
24. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity?
Not to my recollection. Apparently, I just look like me. Unless someone wants to tell me something? (I have a picture of me surrounded by books for a senior picture photoshoot--it's somewhere in my LJ gallery, and if you can find it and think that I look like someone, let me know.)
25. Do you still watch kiddy movies or TV shows?
I've been digging up the old cartoons of the 80's via Youtube, so I think that might be a yes in that regard. Otherwise, no.
26. Did you have braces?
Oh, yes. Yes, I did--for 7 1/2 years.
27. Are you comfortable with your height?
Unless I have trouble reaching something. In which case, no. Most of the time, I'm fine with it, since I'm small and can get into places others cannot. I'm 5'2'' and probably a little over 110 lbs. Hey, it's better than 100 lbs from the age of 14 until the age of 22--not one bit of weight gained, sadly.
28. What is the most romantic thing someone has ever done for you?
So far, nothing. Other than random polite people who occasionally open doors for me. If that counts at all.
29. Do you speak any other languages?
I was able to speak fluent French for 1 day. Someone called the wrong number from Canada, and only spoke French. The lady couldn't understand Mom, and Mom couldn't understand her. So I took the phone and translated for everyone. I think I was either 11 or 12, and had just finished 4 weeks of French class.
I don't think I could ever do that again, since it's been too long since those classes.
30. Do you have a crush on someone on your livejournal?
Not a clue. You decide.

Quite a few other big name stores have started construction, and then decided we weren't big enough and just left.

I think it was a gift too, since I remember you getting it as a gift! :)
Hmm...what should I say here? That's a question, right? Done! *snorts*
*prepares script* ;) And that's two questions now... :P

OWW!!
I didn't even say anything! Yet... ;)

Well, if you ever want to give it a try... :D
We had to learn the recorder at school too. As did my mum and aunt. I actually used their old recorders - wooden ones, to everyone else's plastics.

No comment ;) and awww and  for poor little-Ray...
Just remember, if you ever do go back in time, don't step on anything, because the slightest change can alter the future in waaays you can't imagine! [/Abe Simpson]
*Gasp!* I'm the first non-Brazilian person to travel backwards in time!
Correction, Homer, you're the second.
That's right, Mr Peabody!
Quiet you!
Either a panther or a fox.
*rolls in a bunch of little kitten toys with bells in them*
Quirkiness is the first thing to come to mind.
Good. :D
So far, nothing. Other than random polite people who occasionally open doors for me. If that counts at all.
Well, that'll not do - name something. :)
Not a clue. You decide.
Are you sure that's *wise*, leaving it up to all of us to decide? ;)
Bwahahaha!

Ah, but I knew that you would. It was a preemptive strike.
As did my mum and aunt. I actually used their old recorders - wooden ones, to everyone else's plastics.
From what I remember at my school, everyone had to buy new ones from the school. Nobody was allowed to use an old one. They all looked alike, too. And I hated that shrill thing, since I had to practice a lot.

Of course, just existing in the past might also warp the future. You never know. Kind of like Doc Brown's theory that the universe would cease to exist if they met their future selves. (Failed theory, but still...)

You'll have to go back and look into your various memories categories, or the old comment-emails for the time

You wound me Mademoiselle. :P What, you thought that just because you'd be talking of... um... ok, point. ;) *blushes*

*rolleyes* Ok, someone *really* needs to tell Havelock Vetenari that *everyone* involved with your school district are really mimes... seriously.
At least no one *had* to buy them, they were school recorders.
