Gift
For my birthday, I got the DVD of Alice in Wonderland. The 4 hour version, if anyone remembers me mentioning it a while back.
Mom also bought a second copy--this one for the daughter of the owner of the used bookstore, since she's never seen it.
Because, apparently, life just isn't complete until you've been scarred for life by Carol Channing. And a flash of a shaved leg in tights as the camera lingers lovingly on Ringo Starr's torso, whilst he plays the Mock Turtle.
Think of it as a rite of passage. And yes, I know my family is insane.
Oh, and thanks to
seandc for the two virtual roses and the virtual shamrock. Loved them!
ETA: Okay, and Mom found something else that she forgot to give me earlier. A shirt that looks like a picture of Venice is on it. I'm not sure if that's what it is or not (Mom doesn't know either), but it looks good.
