Well, That Was Odd...
Earlier this week, one of the living room chairs collapsed--it was 25 years old, and finally decided to die. (La-z-boy brand, I believe)
So Dad just went out and bought a new chair. But as he got out of the van, the van caught on fire!
There are neighbors coming outside to stare, and Dad currently has the garden hose spraying it down--smoke is still coming from it, though.
We don't know what happened, and the new chair is still in the van...
*facepalm*

Sorry to hear this.

Just as he pulled in, they apparently finally did that. It was mostly the bottom of the van.

Have you ever noticed that things like seem to only happen when there's something else to burn?

And amazingly, it was only the van that got burned--nothing inside was touched. So far, nobody has noticed a smell of smoke or anything else on that chair, which is possibly a miracle.
And very, very odd.

Anyway, good that neither Dad nor Chair were harmed in the making of this entry. This isn't his great big truck you can't get into is it? Cause if it's that, the makers or some mechanics have some 'splaining to do since IIRC it's still really new.

Dad says the breaks just overheated. (Ya think?!)
He said this while he still had the garden hose pointed at it.
Meanwhile, the cat laid in the garden and just watched. It didn't bother her at all. It is Dad after all--she's used to it, too.
