The Prestige

Has anyone on my friends list been to see The Prestige? If so, is it good? I'm considering going to see it rather than just waiting for a good copy to be put on a torrent.

Without spoilers, please.

I thought it was extremely good, quite creepy and wonderful. It's not horror though, just so you know. I'd classify it as drama.

Very good. And vaguely disturbing. :)

Run, don't walk, to the theater and see it.

You definitely need to see it. And it's amazing on the big screen. I'd see it there before downloading a torrent. The movie is so realistic to the period and it transforms beautifully to the big screen.

Bale and Jackman are superb!!! Great movie!

I saw it last weekend and really enjoyed it. Lots of twists and turns. And, of course, Hugh Jackman, who I think is very pretty.

If you're in the mood for a thought-provoking movie, I'd definitely recommend it.

It's in the tradition of turn of century phantasmagorical fiction. You know, before that hoighty toighty split between fantasy and sci-fi? Think H.G.Wells or Jules Verne. It was well structured both in theme and plot; even if you figure it out, you still want to see the conclusion.
