Cleaning Things Up

I just finished going through my friends list and removing a few people. It was mostly those who hadn't updated since 2006 or 2005--in one or two cases, 2004. Also, a few groups that I never even looked at anymore, and people who write in fandoms that I don't really read anymore.

If I removed you and you want to be put back, let me know. I know that I messed up at least once, before I fixed things. Rather than go to every user info page, I just do the little hovering over the picture and click remove.

Maybe with a lot of those groups gone it won't take 30 minutes for the Edit Friends page to load--or try to, before crashing. (And I'm on broadband!)

Dang, you must have a heck of a large flist. I cut mine down a while back so that I'm not reading more than 2 or 3 "pages" a day. There were a lot of fandoms I just wasn't interested in anymore, so that made it easier.

This ought to tell you how large it is--every morning, after logging in, I tend to get up to skip=360 before I see anything that isn't new.

After pruning, it was only skip=270, I believe.
