Over on GJ, I think I finally found a place to play Illyana. However, for now she'll be human, having grown up mostly normally...for now. Because of this, I think she would have a different codename, since she would be teleporting through Limbo, but there isn't any magic involved at this point.

Since I can't think of anything other than Gateway right now, I've created a poll. If anyone can think of a better codename for Illyana, just write it in.

In other news, 3 days ago I mailed a check to Insanejournal for a permanent account. Usually, it takes 2 1/2 weeks for checks to get anywhere. I just got an e-mail that they got it, and the account is now permanent. That's insanely fast--how appropriate.

Wow, I am so lame at coming up with ideas. I do know Gateway was another character who teleported the X-men about for a while. He was (if I remember correctly) a non-speaking (in a silent but wise sort of way) aboriginal-sort of looking shaman-type guy.

Maybe something about her disks? Brightdisk. Diskjumper.

Heh. The Gateway thing involving that guy is actually why I was trying to think of anything better for a codename. While Gateway didn't usually speak, I remember hearing that he did say something at some point during Generation X--probably after I quit reading it.

I was trying to go for something that involved time and space bending. And I am a huge fan of Madeleine L'Engle's "A Wrinkle in Time." (But Tesseract sounds better than "Time-Wrinkler")
