Trunk Or Treat
Remember a day or two ago I said we didn't have many trick-or-treaters, and it was probably due to the Trunk or Treat thing being sponsored at other churches? Well, Mom just got our weekly church newsletter, and it said Trunk or Treat started at 6 PM--nobody was there. Then, miraculously, at least 700 kids showed up by 6:15--all at once!
And by 6:30 they ran out of candy, and everyone made a mad dash for Wal-Mart before the kids could stage a revolt!
So all the kids really did go there instead of here! Not just a bunch of churches, but all of them converged on one church.
ETA: And Mom just noticed something else. Because there were so many, they say they quit counting. So there could have been even more than I said. For the 6:30 service, it says this: "HUNDREDS!!!!!" Meaning the poor people were really overwhelmed, and just gave up counting. *laughs*
