Settings

[personal profile] ausmac and [personal profile] mtgat have mentioned this, so I just thought I would spread the word to others on my friends list. When the flagging thing was put into place, apparently everyone’s settings for their journals were changed. It automatically has filters in place to screen out any adult material on your friends list.

If you want to change this, go to your settings page, which is located here. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and look for a pull down menu in the Adult Content Options. In the section that says Viewing Adult Content, make sure it isn’t on Collapse explicit material, or adult material. Make sure it’s on Do Not Collapse. That should fix everything.

Edit: Thanks to Mr. or Ms. Anonymous for pointing out another bit in there. There is a section that says "Safe Search Filtering: You can choose to filter mature or offensive content out of search results." When you get to that section, be sure to have it set on "Do Not Filter My Results."

Thanks for the heads up! I was wondering what that flag thing was all about...

plus 'You can choose to filter mature or offensive content out of search results.' needs to be do not filter

Thanks for the tips. I had one thing set correctly, but the safe search filtering was set incorrectly. Jeez, what a mess.
